GBP/USD came closer to 1.6760 area, and may go on
FXStreet (Moscow) - GBP/USD continues to move higher reaching 1.6761 session high by the moment.
UK housing market – another headache for the BOE
The pound shows a timid rise in expectations of more easing from the ECB on the back of the BOE slowly inclining to more tightening. The released today UK Halifax house prices only support the view the British regulator will need to intervene into the housing market developments, and probably with a tighter monetary policy. The index rose 3.9% in May vs +0.7% expected, only confirming the inflation is increasing in the sector.
