UK Govt: UK will fail to conclude trade deals with most non-EU countries by March 29 - FT

 The Financial Times (FT) carried a story overnight, warning on what the UK government expects on the Brexit due date of March, 29th.

Key Highlights:

“The UK government says cannot guarantee "most" of the EU's global network of trade agreements immediately after Brexit.

That is even if parliament approves PM May's deal with Brussels.

The Department for International Trade noted:

The UK will fail to conclude trade deals with most non-EU countries by the scheduled Brexit date of March 29.

trade agreements with Switzerland, Israel and some African nations would be finalized, but no certainty that other deals Brussels has could be rolled over or duplicated in time.”
