US 2Y treasury yield jumps to highest since 2008

The yield on the two year Treasury note rose to 2.75 percent yesterday- the highest level since 2008.

Meanwhile, the 10-year treasury yield jumped to a five-week high of 2.98 percent and the 30-year yield rose to 3.12 percent.

The yields ticked up after the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index printed at 108.8 in August, topping the previous record high seen in 1983. The yields could rise further if the US producer price index and consumer price index, scheduled for release today and tomorrow, beat estimates.
