Stocks recovers the positive mood and closes at record highs

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - Wall Street advanced on Friday as investors digested a better than expected economic data in the United States and pondered fears on Fed's taper plans. Stocks erased early losses and rose to close at record highs.

The Dow Jones held above the 16,000 while the S&P 500 closed above 1,800 for first time. Both indexes posted seventh consecutive week of gains. The Nasdaq closed shy of the 4,000 level at highest since 2000.

The Dow added 54.78 points or 0.34% on the day to close the week at 16,064.77. The index performed 0.65% positive on the week. The S&P 500 advanced 0.91 pts or 0.50% to 1,804.76; 0.37% up in the week.

The Nasdaq won 22.50 pts or 0.57% to finish at 3,991.65. The composite posted 0.14% gains in the week.

USD/CHF 0.62% down below 0.9080

USD/CHF fell hard throughout the day to accumulate a daily loss of 0.62% after the reaction from market participants to speculations about the Fed.
