US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 340K

FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 10K last week to a seasonally adjusted 340K in the week ended October 25, a tad above forecasts at 339K and coming from 350K in the previous print. Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 7K to a seasonally adjusted 2.881 million in the week ended October 18 vs. 2.874 million in the previous week (revised).
