EUR/USD struggles around 1.1300

FXStreet (Córdoba) - EUR/USD picked up pace and approached daily highs during the American afternoon but lacked momentum to consolidate above the 1.13 mark and it has spent the last couple of hours gravitating around the psychological level.

EUR/USD was rejected from a peak of 1.1331 during the European session, weighed by a soft series of PMIs, and fell roughly a full cent before finding support at 1.1233. Mixed US data offered little inspiration to the pair that has shown minimal movement along the session, with focus turning to ECB meeting on Thursday and US nonfarm payrolls on Friday.

EUR/USD levels to watch

At time of writing, EUR/USD is trading at 1.3000, recording a 0.81% gain on the day, with immediate resistances seen at 1.1331 (Sep 1 high) and 1.1364 (Aug 27 high). On the downside, supports could be found at 1.1207 (Sep 1 low), 1.1157/55 (21-day SMA/Aug 28 low) and 1.1106 (Aug 20 low).

USD/JPY: looking better offered still below key levels - FXStreet

Valeria Bednarik, chief analyst at FXStreet noted that USD/JPY plummeted to a daily low of 119.53 and remained unable to regain the 120.00 level afterwards, as investors run towards safety on market's generalized turmoil.
