Germany: Trade surplus narrows against to €14.1B in May

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - German Trade surplus narrowed to €14.1 billion in May from €17.5 billion in April, according to data released today by Destatis. Analysts expected the surplus to remain at €17.5 billion.

German Current Account surplus narrowed to €11.2 billion in May, from €16.7 billion in April.

German Exports decreased 2.4% in May, in comparison with the 1.4% growth in April, below market consensus of -0.4%. German Imports rose 1.7%, following a 1.2% increase and above forecasts of 0.5% growth.

EUR/USD flat around 1.2820
